Today's pen is A.W. FABER's vintage propelling pencil.
In the past, I posted another propelling pencil with different patterns.
Both have the same exterior, so they must be the same model in fact.
Glad to meet you again, A.W. FABER U.S.A.
Still having no clue of when this was made, but I know that A.W. FABER propelling pencils were made under the name "Castell" after the historic inauguration of Castell series.
This is one of such kind, and there have been many propelling pencils with the name "Castell" in the 1920s.
A.W. FABER's American branch started in 1853, so I'd rather go for this was made in the 19th century.
Of course, this statement was made without any specific grounds.
The earlier one was more like a mother-of-pearl, while this one looks like scales of snake.
Based on the dark brown background, some bright brown colors are shining.
Well, it's not easy to describe this pattern well.
The front end cone is rotary.
One can protrude the lead by rotating this cone.
Indeed, I'm not satisfied with this post ending here.
I'd like to know more history related to this.
