This is the most basic model in Alpha-matic series, Alpha-matic with plastic body.
It has three different color models: bordeaux, marine, and anthrazit.
They have different colors from time to time, so some people misunderstand there existed black color version as well.
The original price of these plastic models was 49€.
Alpha-matic series is believed to be released in 1985-1986.
It's clear Alpha-matics existed in 1986 since there are supporting documents - like catalogs and advertisements.
Unlike other models, plastic body Alpha-matics have the brand name and the model name at the center of the barrel.
As it is made of plastic, it should be lighter than other models.
The lead sleeve of Alpha-matic plastic can either be retractable or not.
This one has a retractable lead sleeve, which tells this one is a later model.
The grip of all Alpha-matics look the same, the material could be different though.
TK-matic, the predecessor of Alpha-matic, also has the same looking grip.
For this plastic model, even the material seems to be the same.
As it was for the grip, all Alpha-matics have the same clip, except for the material.
Again, TK-matic has the same clip with Faber Castell's emblem on it.
Made in Germany.
Alpha-matics, being made in the 80s to 90s, were made in either Germany or W. Germany.
Green colored eraser with a cleaner pin.
Some have orange colored erasers.
When the lead sleeve is ejected.
Unlike TK-matics, it is equipped with a conic lead sleeve.
