A.W. FABER PENCIL CAP AND DUAL EXTENDER

A.W. FABER's pencil accessory part.2! (Part.1 link)
Just as part.1, here I brought an extender and a cap.
Let me first introduce the extender.
This extender is the advanced model of the rather common 4502 extender.
The 4502 extender came in several colors - red, green, blue - but with only a single extender.
This 4503 model, however, utilize both sides as extender.
If you ask me how many people use double sided pencils frequently, this might not be that much useful.
Still, it's snazzy and it enables one to use pencils with different grades or pencil together with pencil type eraser simultaneously.
4503, Germany, balance symbol, A.W. FABER.
Dark green body makes it more like a Castell pencil.
This metal part grabs a pencil through a movable middle ring.
It is inscribed A.W. FABER on the middle ring.
Since this part has the same gold color as the lettering on the barrel, it makes a good harmony.
Same for the other end.
Now, we move on to the pencil cap.
Unlike other vintage pencil caps, it also has a clip!
Other than Perfect Pencils, this is the first pencil cap of A.W. FABER that is equipped with a clip.
Ironically, this clip doesn't work well.
The role of clip is to hang it somewhere like a pocket in most cases.
Then, the cap needs to hold the pencil tightly not to lose it.
Nonetheless, the cap doesn't have a middle ring so it can't grasp the pencil securely.
Anyway, it is a nice invention that predated Graf von Faber Castell's Perfect Pencils for decades.
A.W. FABER's name is together with a balance symbol. (Not shown in this photo)
The clip is curved and the end has a diamond shape.
The top of the cap has a somewhat uncommon style.
When it is applied on a pencil.
Now you can see the balance symbol as well!
