DISCONTINUED PENTEL MECHANICAL PENCILS - GRIP A SHIFT / FIESTA / FLEXFIT I, II
펜텔 단종 샤프 - 그립 어 시프트 / 피에스타 / 플렉스핏 I, II
As Pentel has made numerous numbers of pens, there are a lot of discontinued pens as well.
Some mechanical pencils are so minor that it's difficult to track down all species.
The one above is named shift a grip.
It is believed that this mechanical pencil was discontinued in the late 1990s.
It also has other colors like black or navy, but mine has dark green color.
Another feature is its slender waist.
Model number A335. SHIFT.A.GRIP.
As the name tells, the grip of this mechanical pencil is shiftable.
It also explains about this in English.
Did this mechanical pencil target overseas market?
This soft rubber grip is adjustable.
The above was mode 1, and one can choose the position of the grip as rotate the grip.
This is mode 5.
The shape is a bit strange.
I guess nobody uses this with mode 5, but this mechanical pencil has the very unique function!
This is Pentel's fiesta mechanical pencil.
Fiesta is more familiar as a lead since Pentel produced the lead with the same name.
The fiesta logo is the same as well.
I'm not sure this mechanical pencil is still being made, but this model seems to be the older model at least.
Later models of fiesta mechanical pencils has different color on the name part.
Like this one!
I guess mine is the discontinued older model.
These are Pentel's flexfit mechanical pencils.
The body is plastic and they have large soft rubber grips.
The shape of clips is also distinctive.
In fact, this is the double knock mechanical pencil like technica-x model I posted, but one can stow the lead sleeve by clicking the clip.
I guess both flexfit I and II are discontinued for now.
Flexfit II has an additional function.
As you can see in the grip, it has another adjustable grip.
The grip can be rotate left or right slightly, and one can fix it to one's taste.
This is also the very unique function!
Even though they aren't expensive models, Pentel tried many things to them.
Model numbers are PW-25 & PW-35.
I suppose the name comes from the flexible rubber grip that fits well!
