펜아크 샤프들 - 슬릭 터치 / NP-X / NP 트라이핏 / SHR / TLG-105

PENAC MECHANICAL PENCILS

Have you heard of the brand Penac?
Penac pens are made in Japan, and the company has made pens of prominent qualities considering its obscurity.

When I was young, I thought it is just a unpopular brand in Japan like Niji Japan or Prima and Kyocera.
The fact is Penac is a own-brand of Kotobuki.
Kotobuki, another unfamiliar name, is in fact quite an acquainted brand to us.
Kotobuki is a subcontractor brand in Japan that focuses on ODM and OEM.

Some Faber Castell's mechanical pencils that are made in Japan also come from Kotobuki.
For example, grip plus and some tk fine mechanical pencils belong to Kotobuki OEM.
Other brands are Staedtler, Bic, Parker, Waterman, etc.

Anyway, Penac is Kotobusi's own brand, and it has released diverse cost-efficient pens until today.
My Penac pens have a nib shape logo, but it seems that the company now uses P shape trade mark.

The above mechanical pencils are low price lines of Penac.
Sleek touch must be the cheapest one with not many special points.
NP-X seems to be one of the main products of Penac.
It might be a ubiquitous drafring mechanical pencil, but has both cheap price and high quality.
I guess the silver color is no longer available.

PENAC MECHANICAL PENCILS

This is another NP series - NP trifit.
Compared to NP-X, it is thicker and it has a triangular body.
It can pull the eraser by rotating the eraser part.
This model uses 1.3 mm lead, so it comes with two 1.3 mm leads.

PENAC MECHANICAL PENCILS

This is SHR mechanical pencil.
There are several mechanical pencils with fhis design.
Faber Castell's grip plus resembles this quite a lot, and even papermate appears to have SHR mechanical pencil too.

Likewise, this design is very widely spread.
And this is because all those similar pens come from the same place - kotobuki as I said.
This one also has the same eraser mechanism.

PENAC MECHANICAL PENCILS

Since Penac is Kotobuki's own brand, this one is the original!

PENAC MECHANICAL PENCILS

This is Penac's TLG-105 model.
It has a highly trendy design - it is neat and dandy.
The rubber grip, the middle yellow ring with its name, and the navy color body.
The eraser again has the same rotation mechanism, so I guess Kotobuki has a patent with this mechanism.

This model is very nice in both its appearance and function, so I used this many times when I was young.
