A.W. FABER CASTELL POCKET PENCIL

A.W. FABER had made several pocket pencils, and pocket pencils were in two types in my perspective.
One type is what is in the above photo - this group has an extender that also has the function of the cap.
The other type has only the extender, but the extender could store the pencil inside. (Like this one)
Just as diverse pocket pencils existed, A.W. FABER made diverse refill pencils as well.
In the sense these pocket pencils act both as the pencil extender and pencil cap, pocket pencils are the forerunner of the modern Perfect Pencils.
This holder takes the simplest form without any decoration.
Just the very plain metal body.
Still, A.W. FABER's name is written on it.
As pocket pencils get popularity, they became to have some patterns or cool drawings on the body and they were sometimes made of luxurious silver.
Being the simplest one, there's nothing on the backside.
The pencil is short but has enough length to see the letter "Castell."
The pencil also has the famous green color of Castell pencils.
It seems this pencil has the model number 9065, I mean, Castell 9065 pencil.
Comparing this with another A.W. FABER's pocket pencil, they have the same width.
I believe the pencils are interchangeable.
