FABER CASTELL PERFECT PENCILS - 1ST GENERATIONS IN 1997
파버카스텔 1세대 퍼펙트펜슬들
As the name says, perfect pencils are perfect pencils.
The pencil, the eraser, and the sharpner. All-in-one.
Perfect pencil, one of the flagship of Faber Castell, started as Graf von Faber Castell's perfect pencil when it was founded in 1993.
Since I was born in 1995, I don't know the detailed history, but it was so successful that Faber Castell started to produce perfect pencils under the name of Faber Castell.
It seems Faber Castell's perfect pencils first appeared in 1997, and the above is the catalog.
You can see UFO perfect pencils here, so this post will be dedicated to the other perfect pencils.
Model Castell must be the most familiar model to us.
As I discussed here, its design changed slightly so 1st generation looks different from today's common version.
These belong to the 1st generation.
If you see the cap, you will notice two differences.
The clip is gold color, and the bottom of the cap has vertical stripe patterns.
Pencils are also different.
The lettering color is gold, and the location of lead grade is different!
The next one is model Fun.
I thought this model is for kids, but its exact name was model Fun.
However, the catalog says this also targeted adults too.
We always need to avoid stereotypes and think out of box.
What do you think of this cap?
To me, it looks like a dinosaur.
Or this simply could be a Mohican style.
Faber Castell's logo is located here.
In every aspect, the design and color choice differ much from other types of perfect pencils.
The pencil also has its own style!
The yellow eraser is eye-catching.
It tells it was waterpainted.
The last model is model Theme.
As the name says, it has a very distinctive concept.
There are two variations - one says "Yes" or "No", and the other says "In" and "Out".
The color is all black except for the letter part.
It reminds me of the all black perfect pencil limited edition.
They look quite similar, but this one has vertical patterns at the bottom of the cap since this model was made together with the 1st generation perfect pencil.
We no longer see this model, so this model must have been discontinued.
The reason is clear to me, this model was so unpopular.
It might be ruthless to say, but its humor style is out-of-date.
The top part is like a convex lens that acts as a magnifier.
"In" with green color and "Out" with red color.
The traffic light of my mind.
The pencil color is also all black.
Faber Castell name is written in the end in silver color.
Close photo of vertical stripe patterns that characterize the 1st generation perfect pencils.
Spare pencils.
