Castell 9000 was first released in 1905, and Faber Castell celebrated its 90th birthday in 1995.
I've been searching for this since I was born in 1995 too. :)
Hence, this edition is meaningful both to me and Faber Castell.
Unlike most tin cases with metallic colors, this one features Castell 9000's dark green color.
It is written 1905-1995 on the case.
It's not that Faber Castell celebrated Castell 9000's anniversary for every ten years.
I guess Castell 9000's 90th anniversary was meaningful since it is Castell "9000" anyway.
The paper insert looks the same.
This unique special edition "90 years Castell 9000" is dedicated to all collectors of high quality wood-cased pencils.
The pencils are quite familiar to us.
Anyway I'm happy to have this edition.
