OHTO PROMECHA & PLATINUM GLAMOUR
오토 프로메카 & 플래티넘 글래머
Ohto is a Japanese writing instruments company.
It was the first ballpoint pen maker in Japan, and made several revolutionary inventions in the history of ballpoint pen afterwards.
Its original name was Auto, but it changed the name into Ohto.
Ohto also makes some mechanical pencils and fountain pens.
This promecha is one of Ohto's main mechanical pencil lines.
There were three promecha lines - 1000P, 1000M, and 1000T.
They have different styles of grips but were discontinued except for 1000P model.
What I have is the discontinued 1000T model with black color.
Model number OP-1004.
It is 1000T model with 0.4mm lead.
This mechanical pencil has a special function.
It can put the lead sleeve inside the cone by rotating the grip part.
It's just like how Hexa 10000 of Micro works!
0.4mm leads are used.
The end point looks like a cogwheel.
Many Japanese 0.4mm mechanical pencils are notated in green colors.
The soft rubber grip with vertical line patterns.
1000P and 1000M models have grips with different patterns.
Overall, it is a fashionable all black mechanical pencil with some special function and nice performance.
These are glamour mechaical pencils of Platinum.
Platinum is a famous fountain maker in Japan, and the company also makes several mechanical pencils.
Glamour are relatively low price mechanical pencils.
They feature soft silicon grip.
Unlike its opponent alpha gel or airfit, glamour mechanical pencils have bumpy grip, and this quite feels good actually.
The above one is more expensive model with aluminium body.
Both models seem to be discontinued but they aren't that rare and valuable in my opinion.
What does imported by mean?
From whom Platinum imported these?
