What is inside this black portfolio?
It is made of black leather and there is written A.W.FABER "CASTELL" MADE IN USA at the top.
I had another salesman display of castell 9000 and it would be good to compare it this one!
There are 50 pencils in total.
It's not that all the pencils are in the right places.
Some pencils are not even A.W. FABER's, and some A.W. FABER pencils are unexpected to be here.
It's admittable considering its old age.
The left side is mainly castell 9000 pencils.
This side looks like another salesman showcase I posted before.
I suppose that there were only castell 9000 pencils and with eraser versions originally.
Interesting thing is, castell 9000 pencils are not equal.
There are so various types of castell 9000 pencils here, and I think this is quite fabulous!
Different types of castell 9000 pencils are much better and look much better!
The right side is mainly winner pencils.
There are some Johann Faber pencils, but I cannot imagine which pencils had to be there originally.
Let's take a closer look at it.
The left top lines are castell pencils with erasers.
They include both castell 9000 and castell 9007 pencils.
It's impressive that each pencils have different letterings!
USA made versions even have silver color letters, instead of gold colors.
Some have balance symbol and their origin notations are different.
Below are beloved castell 9000 pencils.
There are two colombus pencils out of nowhere, but these two even are different types.
Again, some have silver letters and their letters are so diverse!
Pencil grades run from 9H to 7B.
This fills 18 rows and other 7 rows are eraser equipped pencils from B to 3H as we have seen.
So, the left side is clear.
The original components were 18 castell 9000 pencils and 7 castell pencils with erasers.
It's time to look at what are on the right side.
They are mostly winner pencils.
These winner pencils were made in USA and have uniform notations.
They range from 9H to 5B, although there are two H pencils.
Below lines are filled with Johann Faber pencils.
They have crossing hammers symbol that we can see today in goldfaber pencils.
I can't guess what pencils were there originally.
