파버카스텔 150주년 카스텔 9000 (1911)

CASTELL 9000 150TH ANNIVERSARY (1911)

Castell 9000 was launched in 1906, and it met its first anniversary in 1911.
This tin case celebrates Faber Castell's 150th anniversary.

CASTELL 9000 150TH ANNIVERSARY (1911)

The painting in the tin case is a bit different from other versions.
The knight with castell 9000 is on the left, beating the knight with KOH-I-NOOR on the right.
The colors are also a bit different.

CASTELL 9000 150TH ANNIVERSARY (1911)

This was made 112 years ago, so it has some scratches.
"1 Dutzend feinste und beste Zeichenstifte"
"1 dozen finest and best drawing pencils"

CASTELL 9000 150TH ANNIVERSARY (1911)

150 jahre. 150 years.
The company once emphasized the importance of "A.W." in the A.W. FABER, since there were other FABER companies at that moment.
It's like they are claiming we are the true Faber company.

There is a small leaflet inside the case.

The leaflet again celebrates its 150th anniversary and claim that A.W. FABER is the genuine Faber company in 4 different languages.

CASTELL 9000 150TH ANNIVERSARY (1911)

CASTELL 9000 150TH ANNIVERSARY (1911)

It is the very first version of castell 9000 pencil.
There was no balance trade mark of A.W. FABER at that moment.
Just simply A.W. FABER and "CASTELL"

CASTELL 9000 150TH ANNIVERSARY (1911)

Finest and best.

CASTELL 9000 150TH ANNIVERSARY (1911)

This is another version of 150th anniversary tin case.

CASTELL 9000 150TH ANNIVERSARY (1911)

As you can see, the painting is different.
In fact, this version looks more familiar since later tin cases have the same design.
I wonder what makes the difference between two designs.
Maybe one design is for the Europe and the other design is for the U.S.?
Or does the design depend on the kind of the pencil?

CASTELL 9000 150TH ANNIVERSARY (1911)

Another old version pencils - there is no balance symbol.
It states "Made in Germany" not "Made in Bavaria."

CASTELL 9000 150TH ANNIVERSARY (1911)

The same words are written inside the tin case.
