A.W. FABER NO.2 INEFFAÇABLE PENCIL WITH SPHERICAL IVORY TOP
A.W. FABER 지워지지 않는 연필
After a long series of 1800s pencils with ivory tops, you might feel tedious with similar-looking pencils.
My apology for posting them, but I hope you to find this pencil interesting.
The appearance has nothing special.
It is a circular pencil with a spherical ivory top, and the thickness is very typical.
So, where does exciting part reside in?
Do you see this letter?
"INEFFAÇABLE" is a French word for "ineffaceable," which in simple way means "inerasable."
Unlike most pencils that can be erased, this pencil seems to have a permanent graphite lead.
This kind of function is required from time to time.
I haven't tested this since I don't want to sharpen this pencil, nonetheless there's no need to mistrust A.W. FABER!
Another point to note is, it has a black color following the color of No.2 lead as others.
The gorgeous gold letters are well preserved.
Spherical ivory top.
I've been posting square lead pencils, this one has a circular lead on the other hand.
Circular lead demands more advanced technique to manufacture than square leads.
Therefore, this pencil has two strong points: being inerasable and circular lead.
