FABER CASTELL FOUNTAIN PEN CASTELL 518
파버카스텔 카스텔 518 만년필
These simple looking fountain pens are Castell 518 fountain pens.
It seems that they came from 1960s, although there is no clear evidence.
Metal cap and plastic body resembles another Castell series, Castell 16.
These must be one of the most expensive models in Castell fountain pens.
It's not just they have 3-digit model numbers, but they also have 18K gold nibs.
I guess the designs of 500x fountain pens are based on this model.
Castell 518.
Unlike Castell 16, the barrel is matt black color, and the model name is not engraved at the cap side.
Nothing special at the top and the bottom.
These pens were made after Faber Castell completely removed all the traces of Osmia.
The reason I have two same fountain pens.
They have different nibs.
The right one has a familiar 18K gold nib, while the left one has another type of 18K gold nib.
It is written 18K, Faber Castell, and 750 on three sides of the nib.
Even though two nibs have the same shape, they have different letters!
