Graf von Faber Castell's classic series are real classic lines of Graf von Faber Castell as the name.
Since Graf von Faber Castell was launched in 1993, there have been several kinds of classic models.
Some models were discontinued early like the full gold model and the pernambuco gold model.
On the contrary, this model, platinum plated version, is still being made and loved worldwidely.
This model is undoubtedly the living history of Graf von Faber Castell.
As we will see below, this model experienced slight change though.
Although platinum doesn't get rust easily, this one is a bit blurry.
Classic models feature vertical stripe patterns.
The old Graf von Faber Castell logo almost faded away.
The cap design is common for most Graf von Faber Castell pens.
It'd be better if they provided more various designs.

The grip is made of black guilloche patterned leather-like material.
After some time, this grip became discontinued and modern platinum models have simple silver colored metalic grip.
Most Graf von Faber Castell pens have their birthdays at this location.
This fountain pen was made in 1996.
I already have some Graf von Faber Castell pens made in 1990s, but I'd like to have one with 1995 since I was born in 1995.
This is a ballpoint pen version.
Fountain pens and rollerball pens share the same design, and ballpoint pens and mechanical pencils also share the same design.
The logo is indistinct as well.
I don't know where I can check their birthdays for ballpoint pens and mechanical pencils.
Both pens are anyway quite vintage pens!
