A.W. FABER's 150th anniversary was the earliest anniversary I've ever seen that remained monumental products.
I saw some A.W. FABER's pens with the year 1861, and it's natural to expect A.W. FABER also celebrated its 100th birthday, but I haven't seen any celebrating pens so far.
As far as I know, A.W. FABER celebrated its historic anniversary in two ways - one is the famous "Castell" pencils (to be precise, the 150th year leaflet can be seen other pencils that were made in 1911, so it'd be better to pinpoint it as "Castell tin cases") and the other is this 150th anniversary pencil with a big tin case.

Getting back on the track, this so-called 150th anniversary pencil, which got the model name 7408 later, is the only pencil that congratulates A.W. FABER's 150th anniversary by itself.
Castell pencils in 1911 didn't have any special points compared to this model.

This 150th anniversary pencils were originally enclosed with a leaflet.
Since I'm not a German, the translation might be wrong.
In the year 1911, the company A.W. FABER in Stein bei Nurnberg celebrates the anniversary of its 150-year existence. On the occasion of this jubilee, the company A.W. FABER wishes to express its gratitude to all loyal consumers worldwide by offering a special jubilee pencil in 6 hardness degrees and a special jubilee copying pencil of outstandingly good and fine quality at such a low price that these jubilee items can be purchased in writing and drawing supply stores for 10 Pfennigs each or 1 Mark per thousand for the pencil, and 15 Pfennigs per piece or 1.50 Mark per thousand for the copying pencil.
As a memento of the 150-year jubilee, these jubilee pencils and copying pencils will be distributed in batches of 6,000 in elegant metal tins. The price of these metal tins with one thousand jubilee pencils will be 6 Mark, and with one thousand jubilee copying pencils, 9 Mark. This jubilee tin will be welcomed by every buyer, as it is an ornament for the desk and a practical object of use.
Through these means, the company A.W. FABER wishes to recommend itself to every individual who draws or writes, to keep them in lasting memory, and surely through this inexpensive, excellent product, increase the number of their friends significantly throughout all parts.
Later, this pencil experienced minute change of design.
The part "A.W. FABER BESTET SEIT 1761" remained the same, but it got its model number 7408 on the body.
The balance trade mark implies the pencil was made later than 1914.
The pencils were bundled with a paper.
It also has A.W. FABER's balance symbol.

As I said in the post of this tin case, the inside had the picture of Alexander and Ottilie.
To talk more about this tin case, there existed another version of tin case.
The outside looks the same, but the inside is replaced with the picture of Castell castle.
I don't know what made the difference of these two types, but both designs were made to celebrate A.W. FABER's 150th birthday.
The pencils are now located at where they should be.
How much was 6 DM in 1911?
It is a very rough estimate, but 1 Mark was equivalent to about 4 dollars.
Converting this to today's value, this corresponds to around 115 USD.
Considering the pencils are not necessaries (these jubilee pencils were rather luxury goods), I think it had much more value than 115 USD at the moment.
Of course, it would have much higher value if one have the full set for now!
