A.W. FABER CASTELL GENTLEMAN FOUNTAIN PEN SOLID BLACK
파버카스텔 젠틀맨 만년필
This fountain pen is quite famous one, and is called "Gentleman."
I already posted the same fountain pen with marble patterns, but this one has a solid black body.
I once confused when this fountain pen was made, since this pen had several nonapparent points.
Now, I found out some clear explanation.
This fountain pen is Osmia's progress supra 293 fountain pen.
As you can see, two fountain pens are highly analogous, and I guess this model was the predecessor of the Gentleman models.
So when Faber Castell released Gentleman series in 1949, they slightly modified this model and then removed all the relics of Osmia.
This one has A.W.FABER's balance symbol and uses the name A.W.FABER CASTELL.
It's because it was first made in 1949, right before the company started to use the name Faber Castell.
It is written Castell and Germany on the other side of the cap.
The nib has many stains and needs to be cleaned in proper way.
Still, it's enough to see Castell 14K gold nib.
Faber Castell completely deleted all traces of Osmia for this model.
Could this be Faber Castell's ambitious work at that moment?
