PENTEL TECHNICA-X SET - MECHANICAL PENCIL / ROLLERBALL PEN / BALLPOINT PEN
펜텔 테크니카-X 세트 - 샤프 / 볼펜 / 수성펜
Pentel's technica-x is a discontinued model, it is still accessible in some places though.
I guess it was discontinued around 2006-2007.
What I have are the sets of technica-x.
It includes a mechanical pencil, a ballpoint pen, and a rollerball pen.
The characteristic of technica-x is emphasized.
It has a retractable lead sleeve to protect it.
The mechanical pencil and the ballpoint pen are metalic blue colors.
The rollerball pen has a totally different design.
Its model name is PW45.
Technica-x.
The name gave me the first impression that this has some connection with the famous mechanica.
However, this seems to have nothing to do with it.
Nothing is written on the clip.
The grip is rubber and the body is platic.
Both have metalic blue colors.
Technica-x has 4 colors, but this blue color is the most popular one.
Compare the cone part with the above photo.
You can see how the lead sleeve is retracted.
Clicking the push button strongly, one can take out the lead sleeve, and vice versa.
The ballpoint pen has the same appearance.
Its model name is BK45HC.
Both mechanical pencil and ballpoint pen work similarly, and there is an indicator that tells the status of the push button on the backside of the body.
I intentionally clicked one of them to see the difference clearly.
The rollerball pen has the same name.
However, it has so much different appearance that it's hard to believe they belong to the same series.
Pentel Japan is the only letters on the body.
It is wishy-washy 0.6 mm size.
This size is not common actually.
The fusion of cutting-edge technology and fantastic design.
What a categorical statement!
