POTY 2016 SLE is absolutely the most special one in POTY lines.
It is only limited to 120 quantities, the smallest amount among POTYs.
(Exceptions are POTY 2012 diamond edition & POTY 2009 lipizzaner edition)
Also, it can be considered as the posthumous work of Count Anton-Wolfgang von Faber-Castell.
The case is much bigger than previous 2003-2012 POTY cases.
It is quite heavy actually.
The black wooden case increases its beauty.
Special limited edition features gold pine-tree figure.
The interesting point is that the painting seems to be all different.
I guess there are 120 unique pine-tree paintings.
Additional space for 6 pens.
This brochure belongs only to special limited editions.
And there are warranty cards.
This one is again the gold colored like POTY 2012, and I love gold colors.
It is really a masterpiece. It looks magnificent in every way.
Three sides are adorned with 24K gold powder painted lacquered plates.
I have always loved wooden lacquer so this pen looks more attractive to me.
In fact, I really like Korean traditional lacquer art - lacquer with mother of pearl, and this pen is reminiscent of that.

The date commemorates the famous Vieux-Laque Room in Schönbrunn Palace.

18K gold bicolor "pen of the year" nib.
Special limited edition has different nib compared to the normal POTY 2016.
The portion of gold color is highly increased, so the nib is nearly full gold color!
